The nightstand was a battlefield: charger, glass, lamp, novel, earrings. We wanted wind-down designed, not stacked. Abundance of stuff is not the same as a ritual. The lamp should leave.
Retro without novelty: travertine, wood, a curve that softens a hard Dubai bedroom line. Until the day can leave the room at ten. That was the form that survived.

Wind-down is worth designing. We celebrate stone at eye level that says the day is over. The nightstand can hold stories instead of hardware. Meaning is what you clear for sleep.
